Dehumidifier will not start

  • Make sure the dehumidifier is plugged into an electrical outlet.
  • Verify that the fuse is not blown.
  • Check that the water tank is mounted correctly.
  • Check that the float can hang freely in the water tank.
  • Make sure that the room temperature does not exceed or fall below the dehumidifier’s working range. Most dehumidifiers can operate between + 5°C and + 35°C.
  • Verify that the hygrostat works by setting the dehumidifier for continuous dehumidification. The dehumidifier will then start. Dehumidifiers with a mechanical hygrostat should start when you turn the hygrostat button to Max.

The dehumidifier does not give water

  • Verify that the fan is running.
  • Make sure that nothing is blocking the flow of air to and from the dehumidifier. The dehumidifier should be placed at least 30 cm from surrounding surfaces.
  • Verify that the compressor is running. NB: the dehumidifier could be performing a defrosting procedure. Leave for 35 minutes.
  • Make sure that the air filter is not clogged. Clean or replace the filter when necessary.
  • Check that dust or dirt does not prevent the water from flowing down into the water tank or hose.

Abnormally high sound level

  • Increase the distance between the dehumidifier and surrounding surfaces.
  • Clean or replace the air filter when needed.
  • Make sure the dehumidifier is standing on a flat and stable surface.

Ice built up on dehumidifier coolers

  • Make sure that no dust etc. is blocking the air flow through the machine.
  • Make sure that the room temperature is not below + 5°C. At very low temperatures, the dehumidifier may be unable to defrost.

Dehumidifier fails to switch off when tank is full

  • It is important that the float is not stuck in the water tank. The float must be able to move along with the water in the tank.
